Whilst your case is in the police station, you are entitled to free legal advice and representation for all attendances at the police station. All persons attending at a police station on suspicion of involvement in a criminal offence are entitled to free and independent legal advice. This advice is free regardless of that person's financial circumstance.

Attendance at the Magistrates' Court, the Crown Court and higher Appellate Courts

If you are charged with an offence, an application to the Court for the right to representation in criminal proceedings can be made in accordance with the legal aid regulations. The Court will consider your means and also whether it is in the interests of justice to grant you a Representation Order. If the Order is granted, we will be able to represent you free of charge in Court.
